The Boy...

So sad... so happy. The boy is growing up. Sunday was his last day in Primary. He helped with sharing time by playing Abraham. Notice, Adam and Lehi as well. Each of them had to play a part along with their "wives." (That was the most embarrassing part.) Of course, Mom had to come watch that and get a picture.

San Diego

For my 40th birthday, Daran took me to San Diego...so of course we had to go to Sea World! My favorite part was the killer whales and the Believe show...it was wonderful!!! We had a great time. We also went on a food tasting tour at the "Gaslamp" district where all the best restraunts are...and walked down by the harbor where we were able to tour The Midway. It was a quick weekend...I LOVE SEA WORLD!

It was the BEST birthday present! Sure made turning 40 a little easier...thanks again honey! (not sure he even reads our blog)...!

Celeste's 40th....Ughhh

Then came Celeste's 40th birthday party where Daran tricked taking me to dinner and had a surprise party...with a wheelchair, funeral program and casket too!

Chloe's Birthday and Baptism

Next, came Chloe's birthday and baptism day. She was excited to be baptized by her dad on the same day as her friend Megan. We are so happy for her decision to be baptized!

Birthdays, Birthdays, Birthdays!

Just a little start since it's been ahwile! In Feb. we had Kyler's 10th birthday where he had a party and went bowling with a bunch of friends. The best gift was that his new cousin Eli was born on his birthday!

What is THIS?

Last week, Kyler complained that he had a "scratch" on his back. The last few days, the scratch has turned into a 3-inch bumpy rash on his spine. Naturally, we have been home for a month and this happens the day before we go back to school!
So, since I had a lot of school prep-work to do, Daran took him to the doctor this morning to find he has Shingles!
This is a "senior citizen" form of the chicken pox. You can only "catch" it if you have had the chicken pox before, and have recently been exposed to them. It isn't contagious, so he can go to school, which is good because he could have this for 2 or more MONTHS! He is a good sport and says it only stings a little. Since it attacks the nervous system, that "stinging" could be more painful as it progresses. For now, he just has some meds that he takes 4 times a day to speed it up and of course he can take ibuprofen for any discomfort. Right now he only has one on his back, but a second one is starting on his side. What a day!
